Love Is Only Mine

Love is only mine
When I'm this far from the sea
And feeling lonely.

Bob Dylan and the Band hack through the beginnings of a song that apparently never ended up going anywhere. The recording is from the 1967 Basement Tapes sessions and appears on volume 11 of the Bootleg Series. I can't understand all the words, but I did my best.

Sun on xxxxxx
Make my home in xxxxx
When my booze jazz above
It ain't got it all
Lonely road is love, or love is only mine
Lonely xxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxx
Way on my shoulder
Hey hey, still it is mine
All and all love is only mine
Well it's a long long way to the ocean
When you're love it don't treat you right
By my devotion is a lonely lonely place
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx it isn't right
And it's on my window tonight
Lonely dreams come get your, by back your window tonight

As the music fades, he asks: "What key haven't we played in yet?"
